How many types of token does iBiz Muamalat offer?

iBiz Muamalat offers two types of tokens:

Hard Token

  • This is a compact physical security device that resembles a keypad.
  • It is also called CR Token (Challenge Response Token).
  • The device features a compact design, similar to the size of a wallet, making it easy to carry and convenient to use. Its intuitive interface is hassle-free and easy to manage, making it user-friendly even for those who aren’t tech-savvy.
  • One of the notable features of the device is its impressive battery life. It is estimated to last up to five years, eliminating the need for frequent replacements. The intelligent battery management system further enhances the battery life by conserving power effectively.
  • For added security, the device is equipped with an auto-lock feature. This system automatically locks the device after a certain number of incorrect PIN attempts, providing an extra layer of protection against unauthorized access.

Mobile Token

  • This software application can be downloaded and installed on Apple or Android smartphones. However, at the time of writing, the mobile app is no longer available.

Who is required to use a token device in iBiz Muamalat?

In iBiz Muamalat, only users who have the “Authoriser” role are required to use a token device.

How can I request additional tokens in iBiz Muamalat?

To request additional tokens, you can:

  • Visit or contact a BMMB branch for the maintenance form or download and print it from the official iBiz Muamalat website. Alternatively, you can speak to your dedicated Relationship Manager.
  • Submit the completed maintenance form and supporting documents to the branch or email them to [email protected].

How will I receive my token for iBiz Muamalat?

  • Hard Token: This will be couriered to your registered address or can be collected at your home branch, as specified in the application/maintenance form.
  • Mobile Token: You must download the iBiz Muamalat mobile application from the Apple Store or Google Play Store onto your mobile devices. Afterwards, users must activate the Mobile Token by logging in for the first time via the iBiz Muamalat web version. However, at the time of writing, the mobile app is no longer available on both Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
