Downgrading a Unifi plan involves changing your current Unifi package to a more cost-effective one with fewer features. This process is usually requested by customers who feel that their current package offers more than they need, leading to unnecessary costs.
The downgrade process can be done by yourself or by Unifi’s customer service. It may require specific procedures to be followed for a successful transition.

Why do I need to downgrade my Unifi plan?
There could be several reasons why you might consider downgrading your Unifi plan:
- Cost Savings: If you find that you’re not fully utilizing the services or features of your current plan, downgrading to a cheaper plan can help you save money.
- Limited Usage: If you’re not using the internet heavily for activities such as gaming, streaming, or large downloads/uploads, a lower-speed plan might serve your needs without any noticeable difference.
- Change in Household: If fewer people are using the internet in your home now, you may not require as much bandwidth as before.
- Budget Constraints: If you’re looking to cut costs in your monthly budget, downgrading your internet plan can be one place to save.
Remember to consider your internet needs before downgrading to ensure the lower plan still fulfills your requirements.
