How to register i-MSecure?
Here is the quick guide on how to register i-MSecure by Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad:
- Download the i-Muamalat Mobile Application from Google Play Store or Apple Store.
- Just so you know, i-MSecure is only available on the new i-Muamalat Mobile Application, not the old one.
- Login to the i-Muamalat website at https://www.i-muamalat.com.my
- Navigate to Other Services > My Data > Token Registration on the sub-menu tab. This will lead you to the Token Registration page.
- Click on the ‘Register‘ button.
- This will direct you to the Token Registration Confirmation page
- A TAC number will be sent to your registered mobile number.
- You can just enter the TAC number you received and click ‘Confirm‘.
- This will take you to the Token Registration Acknowledgement page.
- Click ‘OK‘.
- This will lead you back to the Token Registration page, which now displays a QR code.
- Launch the latest i-Muamalat Mobile Application on your device and tap on the i-MSecure button.
- Your device’s camera will automatically activate.
- Point the camera to scan the QR code displayed on the i-Muamalat Web Token Registration page.
- If your device’s camera cannot detect the QR code, or if you need to refresh the QR code instantly
- Click ‘Token Registration‘ on the sub-menu tab.
- Once the QR code is successfully scanned, the system will display the Add New Device – Confirmation page.
- Enter your username and password and tap ‘Next‘.
- The system will generate and send a TAC number to your registered mobile number.
- Enter the new TAC number and click ‘Confirm‘.
- This will direct you to the Add New Device – Acknowledgement page.
- You have successfully activated the i-Muamalat i-MSecure Software Token on your mobile device.

Do I need to use i-MSecure for all transactions in Bank Muamalat?
No, i-MSecure is required for transactions valued at RM10,000 and above only.
- Transactions below RM10,000 will use the existing authentication method.
- The existing authentication method is the Transaction Authorisation Code (TAC).
- TAC is sent through SMS.
How to authorise my transactions with i-MSecure?
To authorise any transaction with i-MSecure, you will be prompted with a push notification on your registered mobile device.
- You will receive a push notification on your registered mobile device from i-MSecure.
- You have the option to either “Approve“or “Reject“the transaction.
- You must make this decision within 60 seconds.
