To log in to eSiS, go to https://esis.gov.my/esis2/loginutamaesis.jsp, enter your No Kad Pengenalan (NRIC number) and your Katalaluan (password), then click Daftar Masuk. Only registered staff have accounts. There is no "forgot password" link on the page. A reset goes through your institution's Pembantu Tadbir or Bahagian Kompetensi dan Peningkatan Kerjaya (BKPK), JPPKK.
eSiS is the Sistem Pengurusan Data dan Maklumat Staf Politeknik dan Kolej Komuniti, the staff data and information management system run by Jabatan Pendidikan Politeknik dan Kolej Komuniti (JPPKK), Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi.
What Is eSiS?
eSiS is JPPKK's staff data and information management system for Malaysian polytechnics and community colleges. The login page states its full name as Sistem Pengurusan Data dan Maklumat Staf Politeknik dan Kolej Komuniti, under Jabatan Pendidikan Politeknik dan Kolej Komuniti, Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi. The portal front page is titled Portal eSiS, Bahagian Kompetensi dan Peningkatan Kerjaya, the JPPKK division that owns it. Its own strapline is "Sumber Maklumat PPPT Terunggul". PPPT stands for Pegawai Pendidikan Pengajian Tinggi, the DH-grade teaching service at polytechnics and community colleges under KPT, and the portal hosts that scheme's service document itself.
It is a staff system, not a student system. If you are a polytechnic or community college student looking for coursework or academic records, eSiS is not the portal you want.
The system holds staff service, appointment and training records for Jabatan Pendidikan Politeknik (JPP) and Jabatan Pendidikan Kolej Komuniti (JPKK) and their institutions, so that continuous career-development history sits in one database rather than in separate institutional files.
How Old Is eSiS?
According to the portal's own Sejarah page, eSiS has been running since 2005: development started in December 2005 and the system was launched for use in June 2007. It was built under the seventh thrust of the Pelan Strategik Pengajian Tinggi Negara (PSPTN), which targeted the ministry's delivery system.
Two details explain why the interface looks the way it does. eSiS was built in-house by a team of no more than 15 programmers and project managers drawn from polytechnic and community college teaching staff, with no private consultancy engaged. It also changed platform mid-life, starting on ASP.NET and moving to Java Server Pages (JSP). That is why every live page URL still ends in .jsp.
How Do You Log In to eSiS?
- Go to https://esis.gov.my/esis2/loginutamaesis.jsp.
- Under Pengguna eSiS, key in your No Kad Pengenalan, which is your NRIC number.
- Key in your Katalaluan.
- Click Daftar Masuk.
Both fields are compulsory; leaving either blank returns "No Kad Pengenalan is required" or "Katalaluan is required".
Who Can Use eSiS?
The login page carries three notices (Makluman), and they set the access rules:
- eSiS users are registered staff. An account exists only if you have been registered as a user.
- Forgotten passwords are handled by the Pembantu Tadbir at your institution, or directly by Bahagian Kompetensi dan Peningkatan Kerjaya, JPPKK.
- Not yet registered? See the Pembantu Tadbir at your institution to be registered.
What If You Forget Your eSiS Password?
There is no self-service reset on the eSiS login page: no "forgot password" link, no email recovery, no OTP. Contact the Pembantu Tadbir at your polytechnic or community college. If your institution cannot help, go to Bahagian Kompetensi dan Peningkatan Kerjaya (BKPK), JPPKK directly.
How Do New Staff Get an eSiS Account?
Registration is not self-service either. New staff who have never used eSiS must see the Pembantu Tadbir at their institution to be registered as a user. Only after that will your NRIC work as a login.
Why Is Your eSiS Login Failing?
Most failed logins come down to one of these:
- You were never registered. An NRIC alone does not create an account. See your Pembantu Tadbir.
- Wrong NRIC format. Key in the number as your institution registered it.
- Wrong or changed password. No reset link exists, so go through your Pembantu Tadbir or BKPK.
- You are a student. eSiS accounts are for staff; students will not have one.
If the page itself does not load, the portal may be down for maintenance. Check with your institution's IT staff before assuming your account is the problem.
Is eSiS the Login for POLYCCGO?
Yes. Polytechnic user guides published by Politeknik Kota Bharu and POLISAS, both titled Panduan Pengguna eSIS Untuk Aplikasi POLYCCGO (Permohonan Perjalanan Rasmi), route staff to the same eSiS login page to reach POLYCCGO, the official-travel application. The credentials are the same ones described above: NRIC as the username, password issued by the eSIS administrator.
So if you are trying to submit a permohonan perjalanan rasmi and cannot get in, the problem is your eSiS account, not POLYCCGO. Fix it through your Pembantu Tadbir or BKPK. Download your own institution's copy of the guide, since the screens and the named administrator differ by campus.
What Can You See on eSiS Without Logging In?
More than most government portals allow. These sections are open to the public:
- Sejarah: the origin and role of the system.
- The Crew: the team behind eSiS.
- Statistik: staff and training statistics, described below.
- Muatturun: downloads, including the Inventori Bidang PPPT.
The Statistik Staf tables list every polytechnic and every community college with a headcount split into PPPT, Bukan PPPT (non-teaching) and Jumlah. Politeknik Ungku Omar is the largest at 627 staff, ahead of Politeknik Sultan Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah at 517 and Politeknik Port Dickson at 516. The companion table covers 92 community colleges. A second view, Statistik Latihan, breaks the same institutions down by how many training days their staff completed in the current year.
Those numbers come straight from the live portal and shift as records are updated, so treat them as a snapshot rather than a fixed figure.
Is eSiS the Same as HRMIS?
No, and they are easy to mix up because both hold staff records. eSiS is JPPKK's own system, limited to polytechnic and community college staff, and it feeds career-development and training records plus applications such as POLYCCGO. HRMIS 2.0 is the federal human resource system used across the whole civil service for leave, service records and personnel transactions. A polytechnic lecturer will normally use both, with separate logins. Payslips are on a third system again, ePenyata Gaji ANM.
